01Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if available). If you continue as a guest, we generate a random device identifier — no personal information is collected.
b) Resume Data
When you upload a resume (PDF), it is transmitted to our servers for AI-powered parsing and optimization. Resume data is stored securely on our servers.
c) Job Descriptions
Job description text you paste into the App is sent to our servers to generate a tailored, optimized resume. Job descriptions are processed in real time and are not permanently stored.
d) Subscription & Purchase Data
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple (App Store In-App Purchase) on iOS and by Google Play Billing on Android. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
e) Device & Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage analytics such as screen views, feature usage, and crash reports to improve the App. Push notification tokens are stored solely to deliver notifications you have opted into. Depending on your platform, we may also collect device and diagnostic identifiers, including:
- Android Advertising ID and other Android device identifiers.
- App version and Android OS version (and the equivalent iOS version on Apple devices).
- General device model and language/region settings used to deliver a compatible experience and to diagnose crashes.
02How We Use Your Information
- To parse your resume and generate AI-optimized versions tailored to job descriptions.
- To manage your account, subscription status, and optimization history.
- To send push notifications you have opted into (e.g., optimization complete).
- To improve the App through anonymous, aggregated analytics.
03AI Processing
Your resume and job description data are processed using several premium AI models running in parallel. Each model generates an optimized version of your resume, and the output with the highest job relevance score is selected and delivered to you. We do not use your data to train AI models.
To generate these optimizations, your resume text and job descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API. OpenAI acts as a sub-processor for AI resume optimization, processing this content solely to return the optimized output. OpenAI does not use API data submitted through its platform to train its models. We do not sell this data, and it is processed only to deliver the optimization you requested.
04Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
06Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, your account details, resume data, and optimization history are deleted from our systems. You may also contact us at support@resumedai.app for any data-related requests.
07Your Rights
You may:
- Delete your account — Use the "Delete Account" option in Profile settings, or follow the Account Deletion process below. This deletes your account details, resume data, and optimization history from our systems.
- Request your data — Contact us at support@resumedai.app.
- Opt out of notifications — Disable notifications in the App or your device settings.
08Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Email innovationlumen@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account". We will permanently delete your account details, resume data, and optimization history from our systems within 30 days of your request.
09Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
